I purchased Mama’s Great Steak Knife (Set of 6). I absolutely love them. I was looking for knives that looked very expensive (yet reasonable in price) and this set fits the bill! They are long and very sharp. I am so sick of dull steak knives. If you purchase this steak knife set, you will not be disappointed!

So this is obviously a Chinese brand, I give them points for correct spelling and not having a weird mishmash of consonants as a “brand” name. Like “SDFPGHRT”. The name is still weird though, “Mama’s great”? Anyway, on to the knives…
I’m not a knife aficionado, so I can’t give you a dissertation on the type of steel that these are made out of. Suffice to say, someone smarter than me gives a nice summation online: “it’s a good steel for kitchen knives since it has a good corrosion resistance and it’s easy to sharpen”. These knives are partially serrated, which does make them a bit more difficult to sharpen than a standard non-serrated blade. The wood handles look nice and should last a while if you take care of these knives, which means don’t leave them sitting in dirty water in the sink for days on end. I would recommend that you keep them out of the dishwasher if you can help it, however they won’t get ruined if you need to toss them in to get cleaned in a pinch.
This set costs 50-60% less than a name brand set of steak knives, so the value is there if you’re looking to save money. However the weird branding may be a bit off-putting to those who care as “Mama’s great” is etched on to each knife blade in fairly large lettering. That’s definitely no Henckels or Zwilling there.
Conclusion: Weird brand name. Partially serrated, nice wood handles. Sharp. Inexpensive. You make the call.

I have a very old set of steak knives and they are starting to lose their sharpness, which is a bummer when you want to easily slice into a nice steak. I ordered these and was impressed with the packaging, quality, and most importantly, the SHARPNESS!
They come very nicely boxed, which would make them a great gift. The knives are beautifully made, with a beautiful wood handle that has the full tang all the way through it. If you know good knives, you know how important that is. Best of all, they are super sharp and make cutting through meat a breeze. They are for sure replacing my old ones and I look forward to many years of excellent meat using these!

These are a very nice and sharp steak knives set. The only thing that I didn’t care for is that they are very sharply pointed. It was kind of awkward cutting because of the tip. The quality of the workmanship is great. They are durable and sound.

The knives are really well made. The wooden handle is beautiful and has a natural finish which I prefer instead of a glossy finish. The knives are packaged well and safely and the blade is very very sharp. It has an interesting shape at the tip unlike regular steak knives. My wife likes it. These go really well with our wooden tanged chopping knives! For the price, I think it would make a great house warming gift, wedding gift, or birthday gift or whatever occasion. Really great!
